Creating a Budget with Chart

Instructions:

Create a 3-Month Household Budget with a chart.

Create an appropriate worksheet title in cell A1.

Label cell B2 June, cell C2 July, and cell D2 August.

Label at least 5 rows with headings you spend money on each month, (ex. groceries, cable, internet, gas, credit cards, restaurants, electricity). Input the costs you spend each month into the appropriate cells.

Enter formulas at the end of each column and row to automatically add column and row totals. You will then be able to see how much you spend each month and how much you spend over a 3 month period on those household items.

In addition to the Creating a Chart Presentation you may need to re-visit the Enter Formulas Presentation to help you with this assignment.

Create a chart at the bottom of your budget. Select the range you want to chart, and click the Chart Wizard button. Complete the dialog boxes and build a Column Chart on the same sheet as your data. Use a different color for each month. Title your chart "3-Month Budget Summary"
