Once you have submitted assignments to a class, your instructor will receive those assignments and grade them accordingly. Once the instructor assigns a grade to a particular assignment, the grade will then show up in that courses grade book.

You can access that gradebook and see your grades on assignments as well as any feedback the teacher left on the assignment. It is important to know how to see the feedback left because sometimes you will be able to re-submit the assignment for more credit.
