Final Exam Study Guide

If you study the things on this list for the 75 question final exam, you will do fine on the final. The final will be covering all sections of what we have studied this semester.

  1. Know what a screenshot/screencast is.
  2. Review "Com**r Vocabulary" and know basic terms and definitions.
  3. Know terms/meanings in lesson "Com**r Functionality."
  4. Review "The Parts of a Com**r" - there is a very good chance this picture will make an appearance on the final!
  5. Know the differences between google docs and open office, the features of google docs.
  6. Know letter/memo formats and rules, and the purpose of writing a memo.
  7. Know about image resolution and "hosted" means
  8. Know the 4 types of reports.
  9. Understand what a citation IS, and be able to identify a CORRECT in-text citation.
  10. Cutting, copying, and pasting
  11. Know the 3 types of applications and their definitions.
  12. Know a few ways on how to keep your com**r safe.
  13. Know functions of sliderocket and what sliderocket is.
  14. Difference between social bookmarking and browser bookmarking.
  15. Define the internet, know what a URL is and know domain name abbreviations (like .com or .org)
  16. Know rules on how to search for things in search engines (AND, OR, NOT, " ", etc) - know a search engine website.
  17. Know spreadsheets, how to calculate AVERAGE, SUM, and DIFFERENCE, and spreadsheet terms (like cell, sheet, column, etc).
  18. Know how to create a voicethread and features that voicethread has. 3 ways to leave comments on voicethreads. Comment moderation is ___?
  19. Difference between copyright, fair use, and public domain.
  20. 4 creative commons license conditions
  21. Email functionality terms (CC, BCC, Attachment, Reply All, etc)
  22. Define operating system and know the 3 most common operating systems.
  23. Know what installing/uninstalling/reinstalling is, as well as installer files.
  24. Know some ways of how to have correct etiquette online.
  25. Review characteristics of spam and how to combat spam.
  26. Go over the lesson "using a web browser" to review browser terms (hint: know CACHE)
  27. Know ISP, WYSIWYG.
