The parts as identified are as follows:

1. Monitor

2. Motherboard

3. CPU

4. RAM

5. Expansion Card

6. Power Supply

7. Optical Disk Drive (CD or DVD)

8. Hard Drive

9. Keyboard

10. Mouse

Key hardware for computer performance:

1. Computers work by sending information between the CPU and RAM through the motherboard. In order to improve a computer's general performance, you could upgrade to a faster motherboard and processor (if speed is the problem) and increase the amount of RAM in your system (if you want to run large programs, or several programs at once).

2. For graphics-intense applications (such as 3d games) a powerful graphics expansion card will often result in a great increase in performance.

3. If a computer is running out of storage space for files, the hard drive could be replaced with a larger one or another hard drive could be added.
